Glyn's reputation was built on his evocative black and white images of Scotland, and several have been purchased by the Scottish National Portrait Gallery in Edinburgh for the National Photographic Collection. Alongside his more commercial colour work, he has always tried to keep a personal black and white project going, which allows him to work in one of his two favourite places - the Scottish Highlands or on a golf course. He produced two major documentary projects - Life in Caithness and Sutherland, and Life on Highland Sporting Estates, both of which resulted in books and exhibitions. He is currently compiling a black and white book on the quirkier aspects of Scottish Golf. Four very large prints black and white prints can be seen on permanent display at Edinburgh Airport, and some of his images have recently been adopted for advertising purposes.
